Our Story

Our story began in the 1930s with a humble makeshift shop — an initiative taken by a determined woman with a vision. From the very beginning, we collaborated with multiple tea gardens, experimenting with teas that would resonate with people and earn their love. As Darjeeling evolved over the decades, so did we. That simple setup gradually transformed into a permanent tea shop, serving customers across India and, eventually, around the world.

Our experience in the tea market deepened with each generation, as every successor brought their own perspective and ambition to the table — each contributing in unique ways to our growth and expansion. We gradually shifted focus toward enhancing the customer experience while maintaining the premium quality of our teas. This balance became the foundation of our continued growth.

Over time, Radhika & Son established itself as a renowned tea store in the heart of Darjeeling, becoming a recognized name not just among locals but also among tourists — both Indian and international. As global appreciation for Darjeeling’s unique *terroir* and nuanced flavours grew, our teas found their way into homes across India and beyond.

Today, we proudly stand as one of the oldest tea merchants in the town. Over the years, we have built lasting relationships with some of the finest tea gardens in Darjeeling, as well as a loyal and diverse customer base. Each tea we offer is carefully selected, tasted, and curated with the singular aim of delivering a premium tea experience to our customers.
